Are you looking for a really easy braided updo that looks complex but is a cinch to pull off? This knotted french braid only takes a few minutes, but looks like you spent hours, dahhhling. It pairs perfectly with brunch, attending a summer wedding, or an afternoon of shopping. Really, this look can go anywhere! Are you ready to get knotty?

The steps:

  1. Apply dry shampoo throughout your locks to absorb oils and give texture and grip. One to try: Verb Dry Shampoo
  2. Work the dry shampoo in with your fingertips until it is distributed and absorbed.
  3. Section the top of your hair from your temples just above your ears and pull back to just below your crown.
  4. Tie the two pieces together in a simple knot.
  5. Section hair just below the knot about 1 inch, midway down your ears on both sides, and pull back to meet the knot. Add the 2 new pieces to the ends of the knot and create a new knot, just below the first.
  6. Continue with the previous step all the way down to the nape of your neck and secure with a hair tie.
  7. Knot the ponytail and roll it up and under the braid, securing with bobby pins.

Make this fuss-free, easy braided updo your next look!
