With the holiday season right around the corner, finding the perfect hairstyle to compliment that little black dress is always a struggle. There are two types of people, those who are good at styling their hair and those that believe the slick back bun is always the perfect way to go! Lucky for you, we have the easiest way for you to create a chic, yet elegant bun for the holidays using all Redken styling products.
Step One - Spray REDKEN Root Lifter Foam in sections and use a brush and blowdryer to dry the roots going towards the top of the head (where the ponytail will be built).
Step Two - Flat iron the hair using Kenneth Bernard Vibe Flat Iron and REDKEN Thermal Spray Low Hold.
Step Three - Divide the hair into three triangle sections. The first section will be created by taking partings above the front of the ear on each side and connecting at the apex (highest point of the head). The rest of the hair will be split into two, going from the apex to the middle of the neck at the back.
Step Four - One by one, secure each section with an elastic at the top of the head to create one ponytail using a brush and REDKEN Control Hairspray.
Cindy’s Hot Tip: when brushing the back sections up into a ponytail, tilt the head slightly down. This will prevent buckling and create a tighter hold.
