Get ready with us!
LOOK #1: PRETTY IN PINK
This fun and flirty style transitions seamlessly from day to night!
Here's how to get the look:
STEP 1:Curl your hair in 1 inch sections, starting in the middle of your strands (aka: midshaft - don't curl all the way up to your scalp). Keep your heat setting around 350 degrees and make sure to apply
Kenneth Bernard Protect before applying heat to your hair! If you have bangs, give them a quick once-over with your flat iron on a lower heat setting, curving in towards your forehead just slightly.
STEP 2: Apply 1 to 2 pumps of
Puff.ME Volumizing Powder at the root of your hair around your crown. Backcomb in 1 inch sections at your crown with a teasing comb. Lock in that volume with a spritz of
Unite Session Max Spray. Flip your hair back over and smooth the top layer to hide any of your backcombing that may be peeking through.
STEP 3: Use a
Kenneth Bernard Traceless Tie to secure your hair into a pony at the nape of your neck. Use one hand to hold on to your Traceless Tie, and use your other hand to gently lift the hair above your pony to create your desired volume. Finish with another spray of
Unite Session Max Spray to hold it in place.
MAKEUP TIPS:
Keep your look light and glowy with shades of pink, gold, and neutrals. Apply highlighter to your cheekbones, and finish with a light pink or clear lip gloss.
THE FINISHED LOOK:
We love this flirty girl-next-door look paired with a skater skirt and a touch of glitter! Dress it up with heels, or dress it down with sneakers!
LOOK #2: SMOLDERING SIREN
Show off your dark side!
Here's how to get the look:
STEP 1: Start with parting your hair to the side. On the light side (side of your head parted with the least amount of hair), separate it horizontally into three equal sections. Apply 1 pump of
Puff.ME Volumizing Powder to each horizontal section. Then french braid each section to just behind your ear, and secure with a small elastic or a bobby pin. Lock the braids in with
Unite Session Max Spray, but be careful not to spray the rest of your hair!
STEP 2: Apply
Kenneth Bernard Protect to the rest of your hair, and then curl in 1/2 inch sections starting at the scalp. Pump that heat setting on your iron a little higher to get a tighter curl - but don't get too crazy! 375 degrees should do.
STEP 3: Apply a few pumps of
Puff.ME Volumizing Powder at your roots, just under the top layer of your hair to create volume and texture. For more volume, tease at the roots. To finish, get out that
Unite Session Max Spray for an all-night hold.
MAKEUP TIPS:
Bust out that contour kit, eyeshadow and lipstick! Get sultry with a smokey eye and daring lip colour. Don't forget to fill in your brows for an even bolder look!
THE FINISHED LOOK:
This look rocks in black on black! Be the dark siren in a sea of red and pink this Valentine's Day!
LOOK #3: BOMBSHELL BABE
Ladies, trends will come and go but classic NEVER goes out of style.
Here's how to get the look:
STEP 1: Part your hair to the side and curl in 1" sections, all in the same direction (don't forget your
KB Protect). Keep your heat setting at 350 degrees for this style. Once you are all curled, pull each individual curl at the end with your fingertips until the curl is straight. Give each piece one spray of
Unite Session Max Spray, moving from root to tip. Then let go of your curl - it should bounce right back into place.
STEP 2:
After your curls have cooled, use a paddle brush to gently brush out your curls. This will take a couple of minutes. You want to keep brushing until all your curls melt into each other to create a wave.
STEP 3:
Hold those old school waves in place with a final spray of
Unite Session Max Spray. Spray from root to tip, holding the can about 6 inches from your head.
MAKEUP TIPS:
Go big or go home, mama! Flick that cat eyeliner! Define your brows! Grab your fave bold red lipstick! Keep your eyeshadow neutral and your contouring simple - you really want your lips and lash line to shine with this look.
THE FINISHED LOOK:
Dress it up, girlfriend! Whatever makes you feel the most like Marilyn Monroe, or Christina Hendricks! Finish it with a string of classic pearls or sparkly diamonds.
We hope these tutorials gave you some Valentine's Day inspo!
