Life gets hectic. From juggling multiple schedules, school, work, events, family, friends, fitness - who's got time to look flawless for every part of their day? YOU do! We’ve got the goods to help you style your way through each part of your busy day - fast! And remember to breathe and take care of yourself first, the rest will fall in to place.

Day-to-Night Hair For The Gym

For the Gym: French Braid

If you haven't tried wearing a braid to your morning sweat sesh, it's a great way to keep your hair out of the way!

You can start with freshly washed or dry second-day hair.

If freshly washed, try to hold off on braiding until it has air dried for a bit, so hair is just damp. Before starting your braid work a product through that will provide some hold. If your hair tends to get frizzy when it air dries try a styler that provides humidity control, such as KMS Hairstay Anti-Humidity Seal.

If you’re working with second-day hair, first refresh and add texture with a foam dry shampoo like Paul Mitchell Wild Ginger Dry Shampoo Foam. Apply this to your roots and rub it in with your fingers. Let it sit for a minute and then brush. Then lightly mist with water from approximately mid-length to your ends to very lightly dampen. Create your braid while hair is slightly damp.

Day-to-Night Hair For Work

Hair for Work: A Braided Bun

Using your already braided locks, this look tidies up your existing style.

With your fingers, lightly pull the sides of your braid to loosen it and make it fatter. Twist to create a bun, pinning into place with bobby pins. Spritz lightly with hairspray; try Design.Me Hold Me Three Ways Hairspray on the medium setting. If you find you have flyaways, spritz a comb with hairspray and lightly run over to smooth them down.

Day-to-Night Hair For Party

It's Time to Party: Rockin' Waves

Time to let your hair down and accessorize!

Take your hair out of the bun and undo your braid. Your hair should be fairly wavy, which is perfect! Break up the waves with your fingers. Refresh with a powder dry shampoo to absorb any oils that have built up during the day. Try Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo (it smells divine!). Then, pump up the volume with texture powder or spray. I used Design.Me Puff.Me Texturizing Spray.

Part your hair on the side and slick back the smaller side, pinning with jewelled bobby pins or clips (shop loads of options here). To make the slicked part really shiny, spray with a high shine spray such as Redken Shine Flash 02 Glistening Mist. Follow that with a high hold hairspray like Design.Me Hold Me Three Ways Hairspray on the strongest setting.

Then, finish your look with an allover spray of light hold hairspray to keep it all together - once again I'm using the Hold Me 3 Ways spray, but this time on the lightest setting.

I hope these tips help you style your way through the day. Remember to breathe, smile and always take care of YOU!
