Bubble Ponytail Tutorial with Sebastian Professional

This TikTok hair trend took the internet by storm, and we’ve brought you the breakdown on how to create this look at home! Bubble Ponytails combines aspects of a traditional ponytail with a fresh twist. Here’s how to recreate this look using Sebastian Professional.

How-to:

Step 1:
Apply Sebastian Professional Potion 9 Wearable Styling Treatment to dry hair. Use the Bio Ionic 10X PRO Ultralight Speed Dryer to dry in. Brush hair away from the face to get hair set.

Step 2:
Section hair down the middle. Apply Sebastian Professional Sublimate to sides to help create clean lines, sleekness and pliability. Brush along hair line to slick flyaways and baby hairs.

Step 3:
Working on one side, create 4 sections and secure with elastics.

Step 4:
After all ponytails are secured, starting at the first ponytail, create a little backcombing and apply Sebastian Professional Shaper Hairspray. Loosely bring the combed ponytail into the next section and leave some looseness to create the bubble and secure it with elastic.

Hot tip: Pull out more pieces to create a larger bubble effect.

Step 5:
With the 2 ponytails together, add the Sebastian Professional Shaper Hairspray for hold. Repeat down until finished.

Step 6:
Repeat steps 3 – 5 on the other side.

Step 7:
To finish the ponytail use Bio Ionic Long Barrel Curling Iron for added texture.
