Have you ever wanted luscious locks, but your hair just won't deliver? Luckily for you, there are many ways you can achieve your dream hair with Bellami Hair Extensions.
Bellami’s brand name comes from the Italian bella mi which means “beautiful me.” This is something each person must believe about themself. Bellami was created so that anyone who desires beautiful long tresses can have top quality extensions made of 100% remy human hair. Bellami extensions can be easily applied by your Chatters stylist and are very discreet.
Adding Bellami hair extensions to your look will make you feel like a completely different person! Chatters has many Bellami certified stylists across the country. Come in to your local Chatters and discover your hair’s potential with a complimentary Bellami Hair consultation! At your consultation, your stylist will talk to you about the dos and don’ts of extensions and decide what method is right for you and your lifestyle.
Bellami offers 5 different hair extension methods, plus ready-to-wear clips-ins! Clip-ins are great if you aren’t ready to fully commit to the extension lifestyle and want to try it first. The different methods that Bellami offers are volume wefts, handtied wefts, tape-ins, I-tips and K-tips! During your consultation, you and your stylist will talk about your desired look and which method will be a perfect fit for you. As a stylist, I personally love beaded foundations; I find you can get more bang for your buck and increase the volume and length of your hair, while still being able to feel your scalp!
The method you choose truly depends on your lifestyle and how you like to wear your hair. Different methods will offer different results. If you like to wear your hair up in a top knot, then volume wefts are not for you, but I-tips or K-tips would work well. The difference between I-tips and K-tips is simply whether you would like to be able to reuse your extensions. I-tips use a beaded install and are reusable while K-tips use a keratin-bonded install and can’t be reused. These two methods have the most versatility when you want to wear your hair up, and you can move them more without causing stress to your natural hair.
The hot question I always get about hair extensions is, are hair extensions damaging to your natural hair? And the answer is no! If you get the correct method for your hair type, and you get the proper installation, they will not damage your hair at all! As stylists (and consumers) it’s important to make sure that we properly care for the hair both in the salon and at home. Having proper home care is a MUST with extensions or else you’ll literally be washing that investment down the drain.
I recommend caring for your extensions with sulfate free shampoos and conditioners. Matrix Total Results Length Goals Shampoo and Conditioner are an excellent choice. This shampoo and conditioner combo is approved by Bellami, and you can’t go wrong with taking this product set home.
To this amazing shampoo and conditioner combo, you should add a leave-in. Another product recommended by Bellami is Matrix Total Results Length Goals Extensions Perfector. This leave-in product helps protect your natural hair and your extensions with heat protection up to 450°F. But babe, please turn that iron down; we aren’t baking pizzas when we’re styling our hair! Even at a lower temp, though, make sure you’re still using heat protection on your hair before styling! And layering up that heat protection will help your extensions last so much longer.
My favourite added heat protection is Moroccanoil Perfect Defense. I love this for extensions because this product nourishes with argan oil and is a vitamin-fueled formula to re-hydrate hair while protecting against the heat.
My last hot tip for you and your new extensions is to never go to bed with wet hair or leave your extensions wet for too long. The reason is, depending on the method you have for your extensions, that water sitting on your hair for long periods of time will start to break down the glue in your tapes and can weaken the foundation of your install. You want to make sure you have time to fully dry your hair every time you wash it. Consider adding a blow-dry spray to your routine to help with the blow-dry time. My go-to is Redken Quick Blowout Blow-Dry Primer. Not only will this product speed up your blow-dry time, but it will also add another layer of heat protection of up to 450°F. And it smells like you're on a tropical vacation with a blend of citrus, floral and soft woodsy scents.
