To celebrate International Women's day we decided to give you all a behind the scenes look at the women that make up Chatters! These are only a few of the gorgeous gals that are a part of our organization and we want to shout out all of our wonderful women! From accountants, to customer service, to designers... we have a little bit of everything!
Lorie, Graphic Designer
What are your day to day tasks?
I'm a graphic designer! So I design things for our website, for social media, publications, and any communication for our stores.
How long have you worked at Chatters?
Just over 4 years.
What is your favourite product?
I really like any all-in-one treatment and thermal protectant but if I had to choose an absolute favourite it would be the Revlon Professional UniqOne Coconut Treatment! A stylist used it on me once and I fell in love!
What is the number one hair hack you've learned working at Chatters?
Probably to use dry shampoo right out of the shower after you blow dry! It really helps to keep your hair from getting oily.

Style Happy is an expression of your best self! Letting your inner light shine and it makes you feel and look good!
Brittany, Customer Service Representative
What are your day to day tasks?
When I get here in the morning it's mainly just checking that email, seeing what salon orders are in and filling them for a good fill rate. If there are any questions about our product that we carry or our inventory I always try to find the best answers. Making sure our salons are happy!
How long have you worked at Chatters?
I'm new so I've only been here 2 months!
What is your fave product?
I would have to say the Unite 7 Seconds Detangler. I really like it because it smells amazing but it's also a multipurpose product, so you get thermal protection, strengthening, conditioning, and it repairs damage.
What is the number one hair hack you've learned working at Chatters?
I think crimping my roots with a mini crimper to get some extra volume!
What does #StyleHappy mean to you?
For me, since I was also a hairstylist for 10 years before I worked here, Style Happy is the culture behind Chatters. That connection between stylist and client and making beauty inspirational, fun and playful. Just feeling super fun and trendy!
Taylor, Chatters Warehouse Packing Lead
What are your day to day tasks?
I pack all the orders for the stores and coordinate sending them out!
How long have you worked at Chatters?
7 years.
What is your favourite product?
The KB Vibe! It's good for curling AND straightening, definitely the best flat iron we carry.
What is the number one hair hack you've learned working here?
Don't wash your hair every day! I find my hair gets greasier faster if I wash it every day so I like to give my hair a break in between.
What does #StyleHappy mean to you?
I think it's all about being comfortable in your own skin and feeling beautiful as you are!
Jeannine, Director of Merchandising and Product Development
What are your day to day tasks?
I meet with manufacturers to make sure that they are committed and are contributing to our ad program. I work on coordinating with them to ensure they provide all the right information to our marketing and sales teams. I test a lot of new brands and vendors that we consider carrying. I also develop all of our contracts with our manufacturers as well!
How long have you worked at Chatters?
Just about 10 years!
What is your favourite product?
If only you could see my cupboard! I change lots of my products, part of my job is testing a lot of products and seeing what new products we want to bring in, so I try lots of different things. My most favourite product would probably be leave in treatments because my hair is really fine. Right now I'm loving the Abba Complete All-In-One Leave-In Spray - the one that smells like coconuts! I think we all like different things depending on our hair types.
What is the number one hair hack you've learned working here?
Having curly hair, a big thing is moisturizing and not over shampooing it. Something I do is I condition, shampoo, and then condition again.
What does #StyleHappy mean to you?
I think it's just an attitude. Hairstylists touch people in ways nobody else does, people tell their stylists some things they don't even tell their spouses because they're so intimate with them! If you look good, you feel good and that's what stylists bring to the plate.
Amie, Accounting Technician
What are your day to day tasks?
My main tasks are taking care of our website payments, refunds and anything to do with our online store when it comes to accounting.

Just over 2 years.
What is your fave product?
My favourite product currently is the Design Me Puff Me Powder. It adds great volume without making your hair sticky. Anything from the Design Me line is amazing!
What is the number one hair hack you've learned working Chatters?
Just tons of dry shampoo tips and how to use it properly. It's really not as scary as I thought it was before I started working here!
What does #StyleHappy mean to you?
Style Happy to me means just being comfortable in the skin that you're in and making the best of everything!
Haley, Marketing Events Coordinator
What are your day to day tasks?
I mainly work on executing our store events so I create signage, coordinate with our District Managers and store managers, and plan any marketing surrounding them. I also coordinate our PR events with the Style Happy van and with our other partners.
How long have you worked at Chatters?
Almost 2 years.
What is your fave product?
I really like the Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner, it's super moisturizing and feels really luxurious in your hair. Or I also really like the Unite Blonda Shampoo, because I have blonde hair and it helps to get rid of any brassy tones real quick.
What is the number one hair hack you've learned working at Chatters?
You need to use a clarifying shampoo every so often to break down product buildup and you need to moisturize your hair twice as much in the winter!
What does #StyleHappy mean to you?
It means having the freedom to express yourself and be who you wanna be! No one else is able to define YOUR style happy!
Jessica, Customer Service Supervisor
What are your day to day tasks?
First thing when I come in the morning I check the emails that are coming in from the salon overnight. Usually there are salon orders to fill, discrepancies, any stylist support program orders, and filling in missing product or overages. Basically everything the stores need, they come to us!
How long have you worked at Chatters?
It will be 5 years in April!
What is your fave product?
My favourite product would probably be the Kenra 25 Volume Hairspray. It's amazing to backcomb with and I definitely backcomb my hair a lot!
What is the number one hair hack you've learned working at Chatters?
Just to use a wand to get looser curls. I used to use a regular clamp curling iron and my curls would just fall right away. Using the wand I can go 3 days and my hair will still be curly!
What does #StyleHappy mean to you?
I think just waking up and putting something on that you feel happy in! Or when you have a good hair day- you just feel happy and outgoing and that you're gonna conquer the day! It's that special feeling.
Tracy, Website Operations Controller
What are your day to day tasks?
I'm in charge of making sure all the products and prices on our website are accurate. Our in store promotions and online promotions have to mirror each other so I take care of that. All of the artwork that you see on the website I have manually put it there! Any applications that are on our website, like our scratch and save for example, I install them in the back end.
How long have you worked at Chatters?
It'll be 20 years in May! I managed a couple salons at first and then 4 years ago I moved to our head office.
What is your favourite product?
I REEEALLY love the Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray for volume.
What is the number one hair hack you've learned working here?
I just love texture powder! Anything with texture to give me more volume - since I'm an 80's child! So the bigger the hair the better! The powder works great, the dust it, spray and play, all great!
What does #StyleHappy mean to you?
I think Style Happy means feeling confident in yourself and feeling glam in a t-shirt and jeans! Or switching it up with some red lipstick! Just feeling confident and comfortable!

What are your day to day tasks?
I'm in charge of store openings so I send them all their products and equipment so that they're ready for the public!

What is your favourite product?
My favourite product is the Hot Tools Deep Waver, I just really like the way it makes my hair look nice and wavy.

Use dime shaped amounts of shampoo and conditioner. That's all your hair needs!

What are your day to day tasks?
I look after the point of sales system for all of our 111 locations. I also help with the website and blog doing search engine optimization tasks!

What is your fave product?
The American Crew Classic 3-in-1 Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash! Having a tween and a teen boy it is super easy to throw in the shower for them to use.
