First things first, a little bit of frizz isn't a bad thing! Frizz is volume, and that’s what we’re after.

Frizz develops when textured hair has open cuticles. We want the cuticles to be balanced. That means not too open and not too closed. To close cuticles, you require the proper shampoo & conditioner, focused upon repair and moisture.

Managing Your Hair Cuticles

Use leave-in conditioner to keep your hair moisturized and oil to seal in the moisture and smooth out the cuticles. Use the proper detangling tools, like wild toothed combs or proper detangling brushes, on damp hair with the leave-in conditioner or conditioner in the shower. A satin or silk pillowcase or bonnet also helps protect against frizz, and prevents moisture loss.
